The cranes of Kheechan

The small town on Kheechan located about 150 kms from Jodhpur is famous for the Demoiselle cranes that visit every winter. The community protects the birds and feeds them too

Rats of the Karnimata Temple - 1

The Karnimata Temple in Deshnoke in the Bikaner District of Rajasthan is quite a wonder. Rats are held sacred here and can be found scampering all over the place in a rather carefree manner. People of the region visit regularly and leave behind food for them...

Ranthambore National Park

The Ranthambore National Park is one of the finest and most well known in the country. The landscape is spectacular and the wildlife sightings including that of the tiger are always very good. I've been there only twice and came back on both occassions with nice memories and a good selection of pictures...
